Bayberry believes in a strong aftercare programme to support residents in maintaining
the changes they have made during their stay at the clinic. We offer a standard two-year aftercare programme.
Some residents have professional bodies that have referred them and who require five-year aftercare based
on existing research from Practitioner Health Programmes in the USA. The aftercare programme includes:
- A weekly relapse prevention/recovery group. This group is facilitated by a Bayberry clinical
staff member.
- A computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programme
for anxiety and depression is provided as part of a Graduate Pack.
- Regular
review meetings are scheduled either face to face or via telephone/Skype.
- Three free individual psychotherapy sessions (thereafter £85).
- Voluntary monitoring (£10 fee for initial test and administration costs)
- Help is offered to arrange psychotherapy sessions (self-funded) for graduates in their area of residence, if required.
- Help is offered to establish support groups if there are none available
in graduates' area of residence.
- Graduates are invited to attend
a yearly alumni social event and join an online alumni support forum (life-time membership)
- Graduates are welcome to attend recovery seminars and activities taking place at the clinic.
- Residents are encouraged to attend AA/NA meetings and professional recovery groups
- A monthly family support group is available to family members
